Constantly testing the limits of what is possible and experimenting with adrenaline-charged new ideas, Victor has made a name for himself as one of the most original and exciting talents in snowboarding. Although he’s known for his backcountry adventures, he’s an all-around force, whether on steep Alaskan faces or off big booters in the park, always innovating and never sacrificing style—a trait that’s earned him titles like Rider of the Year and ending segments of major snowboard films. Victor’s last name bears heavy weight in the snowboard world. Between five siblings who grew up at a small resort in the French Pyrenees, the de Le Rue dynasty has earned Olympic medals, World Championship cups, Freeride World Tour trophies, and TransWorld SNOWboarding awards. The youngest in the family, Victor chose the terrain park while his siblings traveled and competed with their home mountain’s Club des Sport, competing every weekend. Eventually, Victor joined the Pyrenean team, first riding freestyle, then boardercross before scoring a Burton sponsorship and a chance to film in the backcountry. At 22 years old with only one previous day in a helicopter, he joined his brother Xavier in Alaska for the first time and filmed with one of the premiere film companies in action sports. His closing segment in Dopamine, Absinthe Films’ 2013 release, sealed his position as one of the sport’s best. Victor’s notable escapades include riding a 55-degree slope on the north face of the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix and landing a one-footed backflip over gaps. Victor is now attracted more and more to mountaineering and loves to mix the activities he knows like snowboarding, rappelling, flying away with his light paraglide etc.

The Jetforce UL is the lightest Avalanche bag I had so far, helps me to ride like if I wouldn’t even wear a bag.
