Rated 4 out of 5 by Mountain Goat from Happy buyer Ordered on a fantastice sale in the early spring, not likely to be worn until late next fall, early winter, I figured I'd offer my "initial assessment". Sizing: At the current time, I'm 93kgs and 180cms (5'11' and 205 pounds). Ordered a Large based on other reviews as they've stated it fits big. TRUE, Large worked perfect without much layering underneath. Planned Use: Urban. No plans of belaying, sorry. Wanted a warm and lightweight parka for day to day duty. Seems like a decent choice. Feel: very soft. this ThermoLite insulation is supposed to mimic down and I believe it does a good job. I have a Canada Good Expedition and they feel similar with the Goose having a much more robust outer shell. Other: Cuffs scream comfort, Zipper feels good, Pockets are adequately sized and positioned, hood is comfy. If I was to recommend anything, It'd be a more robust outer shell, but I may just learn to like it. All in all, no buyer's remorse, good value. Replacing a Northface summit series Gore-tex XCR 3 in 1 that I froze in all this winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ben1 from Nice and warm! Really love this! Want to give it a 5 but the zipper is pretty annoying and hard to zip up. Other than that it's awesome, warm and super comfortable. The zipper would not stop me buying again (still - please make a better zipper BD!!). I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Youness from Great Jacket - Message to Zipper Complainers :) This jacket is Bomb Proof and amazing in the cold. I use it in the NH Whites and it has kept me warm. I will say that it does not pack very small at all. Nothing compared to a down parka. Aside from that, AMAZING jacket. Seriously. Now . . . the zipper folks . . . IF and ONLY IF, you align the zippers as intended to be used and attempt to close the zipper, it seriously works like butter. Go ahead and pretend as if you are simply zipping your pants' fly and it will not work! You MUST ensure the bottom zipper and the top zipper on the right side are where they should be and once you insert the left side it will work! This jacket has made it into production because it has a zipper that works and it keeps you warm in serious and dangerous weather conditions! This is a dexterity/cognition issue NOT a zipper issue. Great Jacket! Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimmy from -10F On Mission This is one of my cold layers and it rocks. Hatcher Pass, Alaska, -10F this was my outer layer... toasty. I wear this to fly when it’s cold and when I’m trekking in the mountains. I love the long arms. 6’0, 195, Orangutan arms, size Large. The color is visible for miles. Perfect!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Badger from Worst Zipper I Have Ever Seen The jacket itself is quite good, however, how the jacket made it into production with the current zipper is beyond me. I certainly hope the new model has addressed this infuriating flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trock from Warmest jacket I've ever owned! I got this on a warranty replacement for the cold forge down jacket and was very pleased with this jacket! Very warm! This jacket fits great and is by far the warmest jacket I've ever owned. It's light weight for a synthetic fill jacket too. My new cold weather favourite!
