For Summit push on Everest!!

"I have not used them yet , but they seem way better than any other mitten I have used before Looking forward to be on extreme cold for triying them out! I recommend this for my clients also!!"

Anoush P. (5/5)

Absolutely essential

"If you suffer from cold fingers but still need to get out, these are your mitts. They have summited peaks, skated to glaciers, and are essential to keeping my hands warm while I'm outside in subzero temperatures in Alaska! 10/10 would recommend"

Jasmine N. (5/5)

The Absolute Mitts are pricy

"The Absolute Mitts are pricy but well worth the cost. They’re extremely warm, comfortable and waterproof and are an an excellent addition to my winter expedition gear. Thank you Black Diamond!"

Robert C. (5/5)

Warm

"As warm as it gets. Not the most dexterous gloves, but that is not what you buy them for. If you want warmth - these are it."

Matthew M. (5/5)

Warm but…

"Unable to feel ski poles when skinning. My hands stayed warm (2 stars) but not able to use poles with confidence or take skins on/off."

Cori F. (2/5)

The warmest

"These mitts have yet to let me down, I have taken them out in 8F with windchill -25F with toasty warm hands. If you get cold hands easily or are serious about mountaineering these are the mitts to get!"

Soren S. (5/5)

absolute forever

"You cannot buy a better mitt! this is my third pair. I snowboard and cycle year round. I get more than 5 years out of each pair. !!!"

Kevin m. (5/5)

The WARMEST

"To say this mitten is warm is understatement. To reiterate, if you get cold hands easy like myself, this will solve all those issues. At the expense of near complete dexterity loss, my hands felt like I was tanning on a beach chair at the top of a few of the Breckenridge cornices. Ski poles are very difficult to hold. Even a few instances where i forgot to put them back on when I began a run (laced around my wrist), fell and filled them with snow; they would quickly dry out and warm up my hands within 30 seconds of shaking them out. The lace system comfortably wraps around your wrist and does not drop too low. The fact that this piece also has a glove liner, makes it easier to dry out and clean. Also with this liner’s DWR coating and nose wipe, they would make a great spring skiing 3 finger glove! At a whopping small 424g, this behemoth of a hand sleeping bag weighs ~2x your cell phone. Since they are so large, they are indeed hard to pack with a full 20L backcountry bag. I was on the hunt for the warmest solution on the slopes with avoiding any tech or hand warmers. This is it."

Timothy C. (5/5)

Warm Mitts!

"Last Monday, I went to a rare place in the mountains known for record breaking low temperatures in the U. S. called Peter Sinks, Utah, while it was -53 degrees Fahrenheit to test your Absolute Mitts. The mitts kept my hands warm just fine for the first 30 minutes. I then discovered that when my fingers got cold, all I had to do was curl all of my fingers and thumb up within each Mitt while still wearing the mitt and move them across each other. They then warmed up again! I did this for over an hour and could do it indefinitely. That is a fantastic mitt! Thank you!"

Fred (5/5)

Ridiculously warm, liners optional

"I use these with liners when I'm climbing low-angle and frigid mountains, and I take the liners out when I'm climbing more vertical ice or rock so I can slide them over the tops of my climbing gloves after each pitch. No complaints, but it may be nice if the liners could be better secured in place so as to not shift."
