Great Tent

"This tent is bombproof. Easy set up and spacious for one and room for two and gear. Fitted both me and my friend and our backpacks. Lightweight and durable not much else to be said. Only thing wrong is the door; why is the buckle on the outside? Makes no sense when closing from the inside. Not really and issue though. Make sure you have good adjustable trekking poles. That way you can increase ventilation as needed."

Solid and spacious

"Great ultralight shelter for 2p +gear, probably your dog too. Got the floor and like it except that there are gaps that deer mice can easily get in by the nature of how it attaches. Really solid when guyed down tight and not too heavy or bulky even for solo trips."

Great Shelter

"Very compact and lightweight. Comes with ground stakes, all you need is a ground cloth for your sleeping pad and some trekking poles. This is a great upgrade to my backpacking kit."

Unlike the mega mid, this upgrade seems great

"I've spent literal years of my life sleeping in Black Diamond Mega Mid tents, and I used to absolutely swear by the 4-person shelter, because, why not? It's so light, you may as well have the extra space. The new version of the 4-person shelter seems pretty meh, but the 2-person version now has bug netting that connects to the floor, which is a HUGE upgrade. Definitely outweighs the cons of the weird new material"

Ready to buy, but, would like mosquito door added.

"Have not purchased yet, waiting for mosquito net door install. Five star rating will follow after added mosquito door."

Ultralight and Reliable Shelter That Delivers

"I bought the Beta Light after using a friend’s on a Spearhead Traverse trip—and I was sold. Despite being incredibly light, the tent felt solid and dependable in alpine conditions. It comfortably fit two of us sleeping, and we even had a third person hang out inside for a bit without feeling too cramped. Setup is quick (especially if you're familiar with trekking pole tents), and the space-to-weight ratio is excellent. My overall impression was so positive that I bought one for myself right after the trip. Highly recommended for backcountry travel where weight and simplicity matter."

Just received my beta light tent

"I just received and unpack the beta light and the matching ground cloth. I confirm that the tent has four mid panel tie out loops, two on each side. It also comes with 4 adjustable cords for the tie out loops stored in the stake bag. The ground cloth weights about 13oz, it has 6 stake out points with bungee cords. There are also 6 toggle connectors near the corners to connect to the bug net loops. Each connectors are about 5-6 inches inward from the edge. I hope these information help."

Lightweight, roomy, but HOT!

"Tried this tent on a late summer trip in WY. Weather was nice, chill nights, some lightning storms. For a 1 person use, for 20 days, with no footprint, was roomy and lightweight, but this tent needs a lot more ventilation!: either a little window on the top part (like the megamid’s), or a zipper pull allowing to open it up from the top, or the bug protection skirt should be detachable. . or something! There just too much condensation happening in this tent!"

Sarah N. (3/5)

Almost Perfect

"I’d give the BetaLight 5 stars but it needs a hair more ventilation up high. They could do this with a mesh backed flap or tube high on either end. Other than that, this shelter is perfect IMO. Lots of room, love the mesh perimeter (could be a bit longer?), fabric is a definite improvement over the Sil material."

Pc (4/5)

Perfect simplicity

"Exactly the bombproof, we’ll-designed shelter for long journeys that I was looking for. I don’t know why I waited so long to purchase one."
