"I have been pleasantly surprised with this pack. I had one of the first 15L versions back in 2018, and this is worlds better. I can barely squeeze a helmet in a mostly empty pack, which is pretty neat. My biggest complaint, which is inherent in this pack design, is it doesn't run nearly as well as a Salomon adv or similar vest. For big mountain days its great because you aren't running as fast or as consistently. Some improvements I would love to see are a full length side zipper so you don't have to undo the top every time you need something, and adding a mesh pocket on the back or bottom of the pack like the larger version has would be very nice. Sizing is good, I am 6'4 200 and have a large."
"I've been on a few long runs now. I am 196cm and the large size fits pretty well. I got two of the 500ml Distance flasks and the work well with the pack, which has two accommodating side pockets. The pack sits well without any motion, which makes it well suited for trail runs."
"Used for climbing Colorado 14ers. Excellent piece of gear"
"Great pack, light and functional"
"I was pleasantly surprised with the materials and construction of this vest. I’ve been able to carry small loads without meaningful bounce, and the internal sleeve/pocket serve to provide great organization and stability. The flask pockets have a second elastic tensioned band that serve as a pretty decent alternative to a loop that would secure the top of the flask to keep it from sliding down. My main/only gripe so far is that the pocket layout on the front, for some reason, doesn’t seem to have any single spot that is large enough to easily fit my (average sized) phone. I put it in the zippered pocket for quick access, but the corners are bulging out and it barely fits. Otherwise, the layout is totally fine for gels/bars, etc. I’m excited for summer so I can get this vest out for some longer, more gear-intensive efforts. This includes using the pole sleeves, which I am expecting to be a nice convenience. One note about sizing: I think it runs slightly large. I am 5’10” and ~145 lb and the small fits pretty well. With the vest mostly empty, it feels borderline (almost) too big. If I had it more fully packed, that might change, but I feel like I normally don’t have that same thought in a small."
"In general I like the overall construction and useful storage options, especially the trekking pole pockets. The overall quality seems quite good. But be aware that this pack is not suitable for mild or warm weather environments. The facing that sits against your back is a plastic material that makes my entire back sweat profusely. I would recommend it for cold weather running only. Unfortunately I live in Arizona so after just a few runs I have moved on to something else."

The redesigned harness system on our Distance packs reduces bunching by extending all the way to the backpanel, and incorporates Stitch-less Edge Taping technology (soft, flexible edge binding on the 4L) allowing for superior fit and comfort.
