"Despite giving a 5 star review, there is one rather large shortcoming. I’d like to preface it by saying I use my spark gloves in a -20 degree freezer moving heavy boxes around. I don’t expect for my hands to be hot as coals in those temps but these gloves do seem to let in more cold on the fingertips, right at the seams. If I was strictly buying these gloves for warmth in subzero temperatures, then I wouldn’t buy these. But I didn’t just buy mine for warmth. I bought them for durability, and in that department they are incredible and all of the reason for my 5 star review. The leather is tough and the sowing is great. I’ve put a lot of pressure on these gloves that just might’ve ripped a hole in cheaper gloves. The extra leather on the palm and outside of the index finger add strength where the gloves take the most wear. The back of the hand has thick padding that gives extra warmth in that part of the glove and protection without compromising dexterity. The gloves add a lot of size to your hands but in a good way. I feel like a big man when I’m wearin these."
"These are great gloves. I'm wearing them for the second season this year. I've worn them every day all season. Skiing, teaching beginner skiers, training a sports group on the track. I especially like holding a drill by hand :) They last!"
"I’ve always been a size M for ski gloves. These size M are huge. Damn, I’ll have to buy another pair and sell these ones—I hate having to do that. Besides the size, they look great! I live in Argentina, and it’s not easy to find something this good here."
"I bought these gloves last year and wore them several times in the Alaskan Interior. The glove itself performs fine once on, but the opening is so small that you basically need small hands and slender wrists to get into them. For anyone with average or larger hands and wrists, they're essentially unusable."
"As a ski patroller, I needed a pair of leather, insulated gloves that were easy on and off. These fit the bill perfectly. I especially like the wrist strap! I can take the gloves off and not loose them on the lift or the mountain! Thank you, Black Diamond, for another amazing piece of gear!"
"Nice gloves, but the interior liner can stick and feels like it will pull out if your hands are wet. It will be interesting if this issue occurs long-term. My guide gloves that I've used for years, finally bit the dust this year. They are the best gloves I've ever owned, so hopefully the Spark lasts as long as they did."
"Perfect fit. Just enough space to keep me comfy and toasty. The cuffs work well, unlike my old gloves, and are long enough to stay in my jacket cuffs. Works well with a watch (Garmin Fenix 5X) and the cuff is flexible enough to to take a glance at the watch without having to undo the velcro."
"I’ve been looking for a solid leather glove and they don’t make a lot in the market right now so these just fit the bill for every day use and on the hill. I like the fact that they come with a leash so I don’t drop them when I have to take them off to do camp stuff. We’ll see how they wear if they stand the test time."
