Rated 5 out of 5 by Lgils from Great pole They work very well and it’s easy to collapse them in the cold. Probably the best pair of backcountry ski poles I’ve used. The only downside is how difficult it is to get the baskets all the way on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rohlio from Fantastic, own 2 pairs Okay I love these poles, bought a pair for myself and my wife...although we do use them for skinning the real reason we bought them was to be able to carry them with us strapped to our packs while we taught or 2&4 year old to ski. No complaints after a few seasons worth of use on this accounts. So why only 4 stars. Well because of what I believe is an obvious missed opportunity. I would love to use these as 4 season poles, as I like poles on long downhill descents unfortunately they don't fit regular rubber tip covers and Black Diamond doesn't make a compatible tip for them. That would make these the ultimate no brainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tim_in_co from Versatile, durable, comfortable, cheap parts 15 years, 300+ days on my last pair. Used for resort skiing, backcountry skiing, hiking, backpacking. About $0.30 per use, bargain! Parts -- when baskets wear out, or you do dumb stuff and bend a pole section, BD has great customer support and reasonable prices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ADKer from So good, someone stole them! I’ve owned two pairs of these ski poles, and I love them! My first pair was a gift, and I used and abused them for 4 seasons before I bent the bottom section. These things ski hard, and the lock does a great job maintaining proper length. The poles are SO cool in-fact, that this first pair was stolen from a ski rack! I bought a second pair to replace them, because no collapsible pole stacked up on my mind. They’re pretty much identical, and I couldn’t be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adam D from Best fort Back-country These are light and adjustable. The flip lock system does require some adjusting. I tightened mine just a tad more than came from the factory. The snow baskets are a bear to install, the best luck I had was cross threading them and that gave enough bite to seat them. Now that they are adjusted, I don't get any slipping and they preform super well.
