Trail Pro Trekking Poles is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally good product. I got these to replace discontinued BD Contour poles after I lost the end of one (it pulled out while strapped to my pack as I pushed through dense spruce). The Trail Pro smashlock collapse system is very handy, and they are lighter than the Contours and collapse to a shorter length. They seem less rugged than the Contours, but are holding up well after about 4 trips, so are probably fine. One thing I don't like is that the tip segment doesn't lock in the collapsed position. It seems this could make it more likely to pull out while being carried (as happened with my Contour), though it seems like they would just snag and not pull out and get lost. I would also like larger strap loops (I have large hands and thick mittens for winter travel), though these do seem somewhat larger than the Contour straps.
