Rated 5 out of 5 by jennx from dry bottoms! I usually wear the Recon pants to patrol but these made it out a few times in the rain. Slightly slimmer fit but with less layers in warmer weather that was fine. Never had a wet bottom and these have great zippers to ventilate. There was a problem with a pocket zipper that I spent a good 20 minutes screwing around with and cursing about a couple of months ago....hmmm

Rated 5 out of 5 by skiak from good for ski touring Overall I love this pant. I am 5'-4", 135 lbs, narrow hips, athletic build. They fit me very well. I like the high-rise, it feels comfortable and covers well, keeping shirts nicely tucked in and backpack hip belt below the top of the pants and built-in belt, as well as keeps snow out. They are perfectly minimal with nothing extra. Built in belt works really well. I had the same problem as the reviewer above, the key loop in the pocket got stuck in the zipper and I could not get my car key out for hours. I ended up ripping the webbing to the key loop. This was on the same day I considered trying to carry my avalanche transceiver in the pocket instead of my chest harness, as a lot of guides do. The reason I decided not to carry the transceiver in my pocket was because it felt too tight. I notice that a lot of guys do this, but maybe with their skinnier legs to pant bagginess ratio, this works out better for them versus woman's legs, who maybe fill out more of the leg. In addition to fixing the key loop issue, it would be nice to have a little more gusset in the leg pockets, either for a transceiver, or even my phone which also feels too tight and inhibits movement, especially skinning up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jhubbel76 from Didn't like the material I was interested in this pair for a variety of sports ( I don't ski). I do adventure travel, and a superb shell is necessary for ascents as well as horseback riding in the elements. Unfortunately, the material is noise, crackly and crunchy- which would not be good for what I do. This kind of noise on horseback can spook an animal. So they went back. Fit is a little small, XS was perfect for me (I'm 58.5 and 125 lbs and muscular). The features listed got me to buy it, the material didn't work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pauline from Great material / Bad fit GoreTex is awesome, material feels good and durable; fairly thin (it's a shell!) so they're great for ski touring, a bit colder for downhill skiing, but all you do is add a good pair of base layer (I am often cold by the way!!) Pockets are convenient and well placed, all zippers are easy to use and seem durable. However I am not super happy with the fit, I didn't realise these are high waist, so they get up to the middle of my back and belly which I don't like. They move "down" more easily and create some sort of pocket of air on my backside; I ordered the insulated/thicker equivalent of the Mission ski pants last year which are a way better fit, and lower waist, but don't have the full leg length zipper. I ordered a size Small both times but the fit is totally different (I am 127 pounds, 5.5 feet, fairly athletic), so I would recommend this to someone as long as they like wearing high waist pants without suspenders.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Linds from Good value These pants are great. I'm usually a medium and I went with the Small and happy I did so. the pockets could be a wee bit bigger to allow for comfortably wearing transceiver in pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shell from Better than anticipated Absolutely love these pants! I am quite small at 5'1" approx. 110 lbs so they fit quite large on me, but I almost prefer my snow clothes to fit comfortably large. They keep me super dry even in the wettest Coast Mountain conditions. The full length leg zip and gaiters are fantastic and the built in belt is great as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emily from Quality pants with a great fit! I am so pleased with the fit and quality of these pants. I have worn them almost daily since purchase, and they are great for personal days skiing, as well as for use on long days of teaching skiing. They are comfortable, and have a nice high rise, ensuring warmth and dryness. It is easy to regulate temperature with the full side zips, and the pockets are placed nicely. The length is great, and there is room for layers underneath. The waist is easy to adjust. They are the best ski pants I have owned. I am 5'6", 150lbs, and athletic/curvy, and I am happy with my choice to order a medium. My only suggestion would be to move the key loop sewn in the pocket to a different location, as I chose to cut mine out due to it getting caught in the zipper on my pocket and being unable to access the contents for half a day. It was a small nuisance, but would not change my decision about purchasing these pants. They are great! But be careful not to get that loop stuck on your zipper!
