"I have a pair of the Alpine Cork that I used thruhiking the PCT and I absolutely loved them! Being a gear nerd like a lot of us, I wanted to pick up a pair of the Distance Carbon FLZs for fast packing and I couldn’t be happier! Wicked light and super easy to use. I’ll be curious about the long term durability but I’m sure they’ll do just fine."
"I’m a climber recently convented to trail running, and having light poles with adjustable height has been quite the upgrade. I’ve been rocking the Trail Back poles for years so the comparison may not be helpful. I believe the versatility in the FLZ is definitely worth the tiny bit of extra weight. I tend to adjust 5-10 cm between ups and downs and the carbon doesn’t feel brittle like I was once warned. They catch my full weight when I need them to. Plus I take them on the longer climbs too not just the runs. So if you want an ultralight jack of all trades, this is it."
"Great poles when they work. Had them for 1. 5 years. Had to replace the first set because the tip borke and could not be replaced. 9 months later they break in a different way. For this price point i dont want to be replaceing them this often."
"Love these. So easy to pack,light-weight and sturdy. They are simply the best."
"Great for traveling. Wish grip was a little bigger."
"Great lightweight poles! Used on a 30 km trail race, so glad I had them."
"These poles are amazing and super light weight. I've used them on 12-16 mile trail runs with 4k to 8k elevation gain in the PNW, to hiking and doing a 100mile Glacier national Park traverse, to mountaineering in Aconcagua. They stow really nicely in my Salomon running vest and I love that they are adjustable. You can shorten them for fast uphill ascent or elongate for quick down hill descent. Any time I've asked someone to hold my poles for a second as I delayer or grab something from the pack, they don't seem to want to give them back."
"Sweet, light, strong."
"lightweight, super-strong, eminently packable. Excellent"
"By far the best trekking poles I have ever had. They are so light and easily packable. They lock into use with one pull, and are very rigid and durable."
